If you are interested in showing that your hearts and prayers are with the survivors of the Sandy Hook School Shooting – consider making several free standing lace snowflakes to be sent to the Connecticut PTA.
If you participate be sure to send in snowflakes to arrive by January 3rd 2013.
The following is from Embroidery Library:
Free through January 10, 2013
Words cannot describe the sadness and grief that we felt at the news of the Sandy Hook school shooting. Our thoughts and prayers have been with the community as we struggle to understand this loss.
Recently we learned of a great way to support the community. The PTA will welcome the students to their new school with a winter wonderland, and are asking people to send snowflakes to decorate the school.
You can read more about the effort at the PTA website here. If you have spare time this holiday season, please make a few snowflakes with this free lace design found at http://www.emblibrary.com/EL/Free.aspx Send snowflakes to:
60 Connolly Parkway
Building 12, Suite 103
Hamden, CT 06514
Embroiderers are so generous with their time and talents. We know that together we can fill the new school with snowflakes. Please mail your snowflakes so that they arrive at the PTA office by January 12th, 2013. Thank you!

“Hi Lori, I hope you’re having an excellent week.
As this year comes to an end I am thankful for many great opportunities that came about during 2012, I want to personally thank you Lori and the great team at Sew Much Fun for your constant and amazing work.
I came into your store for the first time last year wanting to learn about basic sewing and stitching; at that point, I was new to the industry and had many, many, many questions. Lori, you never made me feel like I was a stranger and you never doubted my interest and potential in the embroidery industry. I knew from that moment that I had found a great friend and embroidery mentor.
Your help and vast knowledge, made it easier for us to choose the right machine for our business and today we are the proud owners of a Brother PR1000e. Our business is growing thanks to our new machine and our website has seen a significant spike in sales with all the new products we can now offer.
Thank you once again Lori for all the business conversations, embroidery and sewing lessons, and for being a great friend.
We wish you the best for the holidays and many blessings in the the new year!
P.S. I included a few pictures of some of our embroidery products made with our new PR 1000e 🙂
Have a great day!
